Hospitality A+++ Coming to Vicksburg and having a place like this to retreat and relax mentally is quite the treat. A young ambitious driven couple as new owners inevitably fits as great choice for take over. This place is oozing with serene potential. After staying a few times I'm certain that these hard working, vibrate, and hospitable people are the up and coming competition for peace, safety, and all around personable customer satisfaction. We were leary about staying here. Old reviews were very unfavorable. Several newer, more positive write-ups caused us to check it out. We were glad, came for 3 nights and stayed 9. The campground is under new ownership as of Sept 2019. It is an older facility but the new owner, Mitul, is making improvements. The pull through sites are on a hill but they are terraced and level with concrete tracks to park your wheels on. I had no problem aligning our motorhome on them. My wife and I found the park peaceful. She commented how safe she felt walking the dogs in the evening. There was plenty of grass for them. There is some noise from the highway. You have expect that when your close to the interstate. I did hear a dog bark in the adjacent neighborhood. Not a nuisance. The campground itself was quiet. It's very close to the National Park and anything else you might need. One review I read mentioned grass needing mowed. We were here in February and one day a lawn crew showed up, mowed and mulched leaves and pine needles. As I said he is trying. There is some old inaccurate literature on the campground circulating in print and online. There is no Wifi. The laundry facility is small. We used the one by the Walmart. The pull through sites are 50A. The nightly rate was more than reasonable. We had a nice stay at the campground and Vicksburg was a friendly town to visit.

It's a convenient campground for visiting the Vicksburg National Park, but other than that it doesn't offer much. Camp sites are old and worn, and the road is narrow and in poor condition. 30 and 50 amp power is available with water and electric for the pull through sites, but it's all in worn condition. Adequate for a camp ground but don't expect much when you get here.

There’s nothing fancy about this place, but it was adequate. The spaces are fairly large and our concrete pull through was level, although some of the grass spots did not look level. The bathroom was fine with good hot water. It was quiet and well lit and seemed safe. We paid $40.

This campground had everything we needed for our visit. The sites were level, generous and wooded. We had 50 amp hook up, water and sewage dump all for only $25! The campground was very quiet and right next to the Vicksburg military park which was why we were here. The new owners are a very friendly and helpful young family. They are working very hard to clean up and improve an older but well made campground.

We stayed with our Popup camper on a Thursday evening in late September, so only a few other campers. Not fancy (no pool, and swing set was missing the swings), but nice tall pine trees and level concrete pad with power and water for $25. Bathrooms were clean with hot water. My wife pointed out the old wires another reviewer mentioned; they were properly sealed, and I was not worried for our 6- and 8-year-old girls. There was a longer term camper. The RV park was close to the freeway, but far enough away that the noise was light.

New owners are trying to fix up a very neglected place. We stopped for the night and had water, electricity and sewer. The owner was very welcoming and pleasant and led us to our spot and our 40 ft w tow had no problems. It isn’t a resort by any means, but fine for a quick stop along your travels and only $25.
